1849 N-16 R5 PCGS graded XF45. Glossy medium chocolate brown and olive. Frost shows in protected areas and this cent has nice eye appeal. The only notable marks are a diagonal nick close off the chin, a small chip out of the planchet on the rim over TA in STATES, and a scrape in the dentils under the end of the wreath stem. EDS, die state a, before any crumbling inside the bottom of the 9. Our grade is EF40. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
