Taft"), as U.S. Secretary of War (1904-1908), on "War Department / Washington" embossed letterhead, 1 page, 5½ x 9", Washington, D.C., May 7, 1907. To Major General William S. McCaskey, Commander of the Department of Texas, San Antonio, Texas. Folded to fit an envelope, and with a few light smudges in the upper margin, the signature remains large, bold, and clear. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity. In fine condition.
