1897-O. PCGS graded MS-63 CAC Approved. Well struck with lovely light gold toning. Only 42,500 struck. A thrilling example of this always-popular Type, but one struck at the elusive New Orleans Mint! A few flat stars. This exceptional MS63 is eye-catching on both sides and very nicely struck, especially the central areas. Probably a good many O-mints are not as carefully struck as this 1897 piece, with no suggestion or even a whisper of weakness at the curls. Pop 14; 12 finer (PCGS # 8738) .
