Baktrian Kingdom. Eukratides I. Silver Tetradrachm (17.06 g), ca. 171-145 BC. Diademed and draped bust of Eukratides I right, wearing helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear. Reverse: BAΣIΛEΩΣ MEΓAΛOY above, EYKPATIΔOY in exergue, the Dioskouroi on horseback right, holding palms and spears; in lower right field, monogram. Bopearachchi 6W; SNG ANS 469-71. Excellent metal and virtually as struck. Luster still present. Nearly Mint State. Estimate Value $2,000 - 2,500
