1900. PCGS graded Proof 63 Deep Cameo. A nice untoned deep cameo proof coin. The surfaces show just a few trivial signs of contact, keeping this hefty gold proof solidly in the choice category. Although the mintage was normal for this period, perhaps as many as half of those produced are no longer around for collectors, spent, lost or melted. Of those known, about one-tenth exhibit the desired Deep Cameo contrast as seen here. For the collector, studying a lovely deep cameo proof gold coin is a treat that will always be treasured.
