Five Exceptional Egyptian Faience Pieces: Three Faience Rings, Circa 18th Dynasty, Two Late Period Faience Amulets. Excellent collection of Egyptian faience rings and amulets. Reference Early Glass of Ancient World, Ernesto Wolf Collection pp 150-151
1.) Ring with bezel having a crisp Ankh sign. Ring masterfully restored with all original pieces. Fragile, not wearable.
2.) Ring having an openwork eye of Horus, again masterfully restored from fragments. Fragile, not wearable.
3.) Ring with bezel boasting a well-defined relief of a Nile Perch, recomposed from original fragments. Fragile, do not wear.
4.) Tiny amulet in sky blue faience from The Late Period (664-525 BC) featuring carved details of a human face believed to have restorative, regenerating power. 11.6 x 7.40 mm and in excellent condition
5.) Slightly larger amulet of blue faience grapes. 23 x 11.5mm and in excellent condition. Estimated Value $1,500 - 2,500
