2nd Century A.D. Roman, Heavy, High Karat Gold Marriage Ring. A Sardonyx Cameo of Two Hands Clasping a Traditional Ring for the Time. Heavy, 22K+ marriage ring from the 2nd Century A.D. having a sardonyx cameo of two hands clasping. Surprising gold weight in this ring which impresses. The cameo itself was clearly found damaged, with cracked elements restored leaving the details of the hands abstract at best. Ring is tiny, a size 1¾ but with a total gross weight of 19.95 grams, the cameo weighing very little. Estimated Value $1,500 - 2,000
