1807/6 S-273 R1 Large 7 over 6. PCGS graded Uncirculated Detail Altered Service. Lustrous medium olive with underlying faded golden tan showing through in the fields and protected areas. Looks choice mint state and the eye appeal is outstanding, but this cent has been recolored. The only mark is a thin diagonal nick in the center of the cheek. LDS, Breen state IV, with obvious die clashmarks and swelling on the obverse and a narrow rim cud break over STA. The obverse die was misaligned to K-4 while the reverse is centered on the planchet. Graded MS60 net AU50 and tied for CC#11 in the Noyes census, his photo #21325. Our grade is net AU55. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Great Pacific Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label (PCGS # 36442) Value $7,500 - UP
