Lot 1987

1920 Pilgrim Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. Nice original toning. Silver cartwheel luster radiates from the surfaces of this attractive toned specimen. A great deal of discussion also surrounds a coin's strike when the grade gets to the gem 65 level. This beautiful 1920 Pilgrim has excellent detail, grand eye-appeal with no sign of weakness (PCGS # 9359) .

By 1920, the U.S. population reached 105,710,620. For the first time in U.S. history the farm population fell to less than 30%, a far cry from the days of the pioneering Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony.
Estimated Value $450 - 500.
Ex Dr. Hesselgesser.

Realized $495
