1800 S-197 R1. PCGS graded MS-63 Brown. Attractive lustrous light brown with slightly darker steel brown and chocolate toning on the highpoints. Lighter tan faded down from mint color shows in protected areas on the obverse. The only marks are some small spots of darker toning (not carbon) scattered over the obverse, mostly in the field behind the portrait, and a very light rim bruise off the lower end of the hair ribbon. Looks mint state but there is a faint trace of rub on the highest points of the devices. LDS, Breen state IV, with a clearly defined rim cud break over AT in STATES. Graded AU55 and tied for CC#5 honors in both the Noyes and Bland census lists, Noyes photo #28704. Our grade is AU58. The attribution and Great Pacific Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; none finer. (PCGS # 36179) Value $17,500 - UP
