1798 S-182 R4 Small 8, Style II Hair. PCGS graded EF-45. Choice frosty steel and olive brown with a small puff of lighter toning between the N & T in CENT that can help identify this cent. Otherwise there are no notable marks and the eye appeal is outstanding. Just lightly worn on the devices. MDS, Breen state II, with fine die clashmarks on both sides. An absolutely choice example of a tough die variety. Noyes graded EF45 net EF40 (no reason given for a deduction) and CC#3, his photo #37292. Our grade is VF35 Choice. The attribution and Great Pacific Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 1 finer in 63. (PCGS # 36113) Value $5,000 - UP
