Medium Bronze (Quarter) dated Year 4 (69/70 C.E.). Etrog, with Hebrew inscription: For the Redemption of Zion. Reverse: Two lulavs, surrounded by: Year Four -- Half. Obverse is especially nice. Dark brown patina. H-669, AJC 29. This coin was perhaps a substitite for the silver Half Shekel, as silver was running short by the fourth year of the revolt. Very scarce. Obverse Very Fine, reverse Very Good.
