AR Half Shekel (7.0g) dated Year One (66/7 C.E.). Temple vessel (omer cup?) with plain rim and pearl on either side; above date and surrounding Hebrew inscription: Half of the Shekel. Reverse: Stem with three budding pomegranates; Hebrew inscription: Jerusalem is Holy. Well struck with obverse slightly off center and reverse almost perfectly centered. H-656, AJC 6. Superb Extremely Fine.
