Ancient India, The Kushans. Huvishka, c. AD 158-195. Gold Quarter Stater (1.9 g). King seated cross-legged upon convention for rocks or clouds; faces left and holding in his right hand a staff; the king wears a mantle and helmet decorated with a diadem. Reverse: Mithra, the sun god, radiate and nimbate, standing left, holding scepter. Mitchiner 3201; cf. Rosenfield pl. III, 50. Very Rare. Extremely Fine.
