1652 Pine Tree Threepence. . Noe-36 Rarity-4. VF-30. Ten points sharper but there are several small, dull dents or nicks on both sides, one under the tree and a half dozen scattered about the reverse. None of these marks is distracting but there are too many to ignore at this grade level. Otherwise the surfaces and eye appeal of this example are excellent. Sharply detailed with complete legends. The obverse is off center a bit to the bottom causing a couple letters to be tight to the edge, but the reverse is perfectly centered. Later die state showing a strong cud break over the AS in MASATHVSETS. Weight 16.1 grains. A desirable example of this seldom offered denomination.
