$5 Gold Liberty. 1872-S. PCGS graded AU-55. Light yellow gold fields emboldened with thick luster. Several small ticks here and there do not take away from the flashy eye appeal of this low mintage issue from San Francisco. Rare in all grades and very tough in the present condition. PCGS has graded 5 in AU55 with a single AU58 finer (PCGS # 8327) .
