1896-S Barber Quarter Dollar. VF-20. With steel gray highlights, and a bit darker in the fields. The key date of the series, with a very low mintage, only 188,039 struck, most of which were just plain worn out. Not so here, the strike is good and the devices retain most of the details imparted by the dies. Full LIBERTY on the headband.
