Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC. AR Drachm (4.28 g), minted at Sardes, c. 323-319 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle and scepter; bee under stool; in left field, "TI". Price 1059; M. 480. Flan somewhat wavy on reverse. Price 2629; M. 522. NGC graded Choice Mint State: Strike 5/5; Surface 4/5 . Our grade is lustrous and Nearly Mint State.
