Sylvia Haffner writes in "Israel's Modern Money and Medals 1917-1970:" "These notes were in circulation until 1920 when they were withdrawn; all are exceedingly rare." Included are (2) 1 Grush, Very Fine, single fold (2) 2 ½ Grush, Very Fine, single fold (4) 5 piastres, brown, red & green (scarce), Fine to Extremely Fine (3) 20 Piastres, avg. Fine with a couple of folds and light staining (2) ¼ Pound, Fine with a fold or two (2) ½ Pound, Fine with a fold or two; and (11) one Pound, avg. Fine to Very Fine. Plus 1334 (1918) 10 Livres, Fine with a few folds and some graffiti. Estimated Value $300 - 400
