Three (3) Pre-Columbian Pots: Nazca from Peru, and Two Western Mexico. Three very handsome Pre-Columbian pots.
1.) Spouted Nazca (whistle) pot from Peru in orange, black and white slip colors. choice condition 4 x 4 x 3½"
2.) Jalisco region, olla seed jar in red clay. These were buried in soil holding seeds, soil and direct watering for better crop survival. 4 x 4 x 3½" Superior condition with remnants or red slip color. As the above pot, no cracks, chips or repairs.
3.) Intriguing small pot in blackish red clay with hand pressed on clay elements creating a very distinct face. This small, single handled pot sits on three legs. Mexican region. 2½ x 2½ x 2½" with minor chipping around mouth. Estimated Value $200 - 400
