1652 Pine Tree Sixpence. . Noe-33a Rarity-5. PCGS graded EF-45. Variety with pellets before the tree trunk. Attractive glossy light silvery gray with darker bluish steel gray toning in protected areas. No marks or planchet flaws, only light, even wear on both sides. The obverse is much better centered on the planchet than the more common Noe-33 variety, although it is still a bit off to the top leaving the upper half of THVS off the planchet. The reverse is well centered with the tops of only a few letters off the planchet or tight to the edge. The pellets beside the tree trunk are clear. Weight recorded as 35.2 grains prior to slabbing, but the weight is not shown on the PCGS label.
