Two (2) Pre-Columbian Chimu Blackware Pottery: Owl Bodied Single Handled Jug, and Rounded Vessel with Raised Alligator Shape. Two Bird/Animal examples of Chimu Blackware Pottery from Peru.
1) Excellent juglet decorated with the body of an alligator as if sunning himself just below the neck. Obviously a piece that used a cradle due to bottom of juglet in a very rounded shape. Choice condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Stand included.
2.) Vessel, a single-handled pitcher with owl body and face. Striking piece with some chipping at top of neck and around base. Estimated Value $400 - 600
