Ancient Coin Lot. Greek, Mostly AR Minors, c. 500 BC. - 225 AD. Included are: Miletos, c. 500 BC., 2 AR 1/12 Staters: Forepart of lion left and right, head reverted / Starburst-floral rosette; SNG Cop. 944ff., & cf. 952, 953. Also, Apollonia Pontica, 4th century B.C., AR Diobol: Facing Apollo head / Anchor and crayfish; SGC 1657. Also, Euboia, Histiaia, 3rd century BC., 4 AR Tetrobols: Head of nymph right / Nymph seated right on galley; SBC 2496 var. Also, Phoenicia, Sidon, c. 380-350 BC., AR Obol: Galley left / Persian king fighting lion, two letters in field; cf. SGC 5948. Also, an AE 40 of Ptolemy III, 246-221 BC.: Head of Zeus-Ammon right / Eagle with cornucopia; SGC 7815. Also, Parthia, Vologases VI, 208-228 AD., Billon Tetradrachm: Bust left, wearing tiara / Tyche r., before enthroned king l.; Sell. 88.6. Last, an Indian AE of Sikander Shah II, 1488-1517: Inscription both sides. Histiaia, two with off center obverses; one overcleaned. One of Miletos off center. Parthia, surfaces a bit rough. Ptolemy with nice red and brown patina. Rest of coins with varied toning. Lot of 11 coins. Coins average Very Fine, a few somewhat less.
