Lot 1438

1955 Lincoln Cent. Doubled die obverse. PCGS graded MS-64 Red and Brown. One of the better examples of this most popular Lincoln Cent error to come down to us, the surfaces show only minor signs of contact, including a faint tick on Abe's beard and one in the field above the date. From a technical standpoint, this is as nice as these come, to obtain a gem MS-65 in brown, red brown or red is virtually impossible, only 23 have been graded that high, with none graded higher by PCGS! Keep that in mind if you want a really nice one, this is where you should focus your collecting dollars. Mostly red and with excellent surfaces.
Estimated Value $2,000-UP.

Realized $3,910
