1887-O Morgan Dollar. NGC graded MS-65. The double die obverse is very slight. Brilliant and white, with just a whisper of gold at the edge. A lovely gem. Listed as an R-5 in the Van Allen-Mallis reference work on the series. A rare date and especially rare as a variety, in fact this is the finest graded example seen by NGC of the variety, and the only MS-65 graded by that service of 205 coins seen! Hence, we recommend this one if you are a variety specialist in the Morgan dollar series.
