Phoenicia, Tyre. Silver 1/2 Shekel (7.11 g), ca. 126/5 BC-AD 65/6. CY 2 (AD 65/6). Laureate bust of Melkart right, lion's skin tied at neck. Reverse: TYPOY IEPAΣ KAI AΣYΛOY, eagle standing left on prow, palm on far wing; in left field, date (PΞA) and club; in right field, KP above monogram; uncertain letter between legs. Hendin 1621; cf. DCA Suppl. 547-8. Scarce. Toned. About Very Fine. Estimate Value $400 - 500

The engraving of the date is quite crude on this coin. Our best guess is that the numerals 100, 60 and 1 were meant to be represented, but we are not completely certain of this.
