1852 Pattern Gold Dollar. Silver, plain edge, thin planchet. Judd-138. Pollock-165. Low Rarity 7. PCGS graded Proof 65. CAC. Lightly toned. The obverse design is simple and includes the date at the base, and USA above without periods. For the reverse a simple pattern was employed using a small punch with branch, two leaves and two berries, this branch is not connected to any others, but appears seven times on the reverse to make an encircling wreath. Pop 2; tied for the finest examples graded at PCGS. (PCGS # 11583) Estimate Value $11,000 - UP
