Reverse: Nemesis standing facing, head left, drawing drapery from shoulder and; st her feet, wheel. Meshorer 83; Rosenberger 49; Kadman 39. Nice green patina. Very Fine. Estimate Value $200 - 250
Nemesis is the Greek goddess associated with rightful retribution. On the reverse of this coin she is seen holding her chiton open in order to spit upon her breast (her standard gesture of aversion); a wheel, symbolizing "what goes around comes around," is at her feet.
