Lot 127

1822 N-2 R3 PCGS AU Detail Damage. Sharpness near mint state but there is a collection of very fine horizontal pin scratches below the line under CENT. Otherwise there are just a few trivial marks including a faint hairline on the jaw and a scuff of slightly lighter toning off the lower left point of star 12. Glossy olive brown and chocolate. Satiny mint luster covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has excellent eye appeal. Sharply struck E-MDS. The arc line left of the O in OF is sharp and there is crumbling in the upper notch of the N in CENT. The always-present die crack from above star 7 to star 12 is clear. Our grade is net AU50. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS #36715. Estimated Value $500 - UP
