Bronze Medal, 1758. Victory of Lord Clive at Plassy. Victory with trophy and palm branch seated on elephant left, leg: VICTORY AT PLASSY - CLIVE COMMANDER around and MDCCLVIII, with SOC. P.A.C in exergue. Reverse; Clive, dressed as Roman general, holds staff surmounted by lion as he gives another staff to Meer Jaafar at left with cornucopia, globe, and rudder between them, leg: INIVRIES ATTONED PRIVELEGE AVGMENTED TERRITORY ACQVIRED around with A SOUBAH GIVEN TO BENGAL, with date MDCCLVIII in exergue, 40 mm, by John Pingo (Pudd 757; Eimer 655; MI 683/400). Pop 1; the only example graded for the type at PCGS. In PCGS holder grade SP 63. Estimated Value $700 - UP
