Fairbanks, Douglas. In a holograph postscript Fairbanks has added, "We are only here till Thursday D.F." Slightly age-toned, else fine. 1883-1939. Film actor, who made a specialty of swashbuckling leads in The Three Musketeers (1921), Robin Hood (1922), and many others.
Typed Letter Signed. With a six word holograph postscript additionally signed ("D.F.") One page, Octavo, on imprinted hotel stationery, Hyde Park Hotel, Knightsbridge, London, May 29, 1928. To "My dear Grossmith." Warm letter to a friend in which Fairbanks writes:
"My dear Grossmith, Thank you so much for your kind letter of welcome to us both. We were very sorry indeed to have missed you in California last November. We are only over on a short business visit now, but hope to be back after the hollidays, when it would give us great pleasure to take advantage of your kind offer. With all best wishes, and again thanking you for your kindness. Yours very sincerely, Douglas Fairbanks."
