1933 Pedley-Ryan Type IV SC$1. HK-825. PCGS graded MS-61. Silver. 27.8 grams. Pedley-Ryan was an investment company in Denver, Colorado. Pedley-Ryan "dollars" were produced to encourage investment and speculation in silver. The company produced several types of these flat, rimless, plain-edge silver disks with stamped incuse design. Only about a 1,000 pieces of all types are believed to have been sold. This is the most common of the incuse design types, but only 500 of this variety were reportedly produced. This piece is conservatively graded.
