1808 C-3 R1 PCGS graded AU58. Glossy chocolate brown and steel. Satiny luster covers the planchet and it shows no trace of friction on the highest points of the devices. However, there is a mint-made planchet flake at the top of the E in LIBERTY, and it is obvious to the unaided eye. Otherwise the only mark is a barely visible spot of planchet impurity hidden in the drapery folds at the bust tip. M-LDS, Manley state 4.0, with a die crack from the rim through the I in UNITED to the leaves below. Only traces of dentils remain visible on both sides and the reverse is rotated 15 degrees CCW.
