Collection of Over 40 Covers and Letters Signed by Generals and Admirals: Includes Nimitz, Halsey, & MacArthur. Covers signed by generals include: Douglas MacArthur, Omar N. Bradley (3), J.M. Wainwright, J.H. Doolittle (3), Claire Chennault, Pappy Boyington, R.W. Eichelberger, Lucius Clay, Mark W. Clark, R.L. Maxwell, Frank C. Walker, Walter Krueger, W.C. Westmoreland, and others. Many covers are first day of issue and many are war-date. Letters signed by generals include George C. Marshall, Leslie R. Groves, and B.B. Somervill. Admiral Chester Nimitz signed a card with an admiral's seagoing flag. Admirals and rear admirals who signed covers are William F. Halsey, Thomas C. Kinkaid, Arthur W. Radford, Aubrey W. Fitch, R.A. Spruance, H.E. Kimmel, U.S.G. Sharp, and D.N. Gallery. Also included is a cover signed by Capt. Mitsuo Fuchida, who led the Japanese raid on Pearl Harbor, one signed by Albert Speer (Hitler's architect) alone and one by Speer and Nuremburg prosecutor Telford Taylor. Items are overall fine.
