Jewish War, ca. 66-70 CE. Year Two (AD 67/68). Silver Shekel. set into a custom Diamond and 18kt Gold Pendant. Description: (sheqel of Israel). Struck April 67 - March 68 CE, Year 2 above ritual chalice with pearled rim, the base is raised by projections on ends. Reverse: (Jerusalem the holy); staf with three pomegrante buds, round base. Hendin 6387; GBC 5th edition 1358. Well struck and well centered. We note some fine scratches in the left obverse field otherwise Extremely Fine

Housed in a custom 18kt yellow gold bezel with small accent diamonds encircling the bezel accented by deep blue saphries attached to a meshed 15" collar so both sides can be viewed. Estimated Value $7,500 - UP
