1893 Columbus Bust - Administration Building. Eglit-135. Pot metal, 69mm, 8.4mm thick, 194g. This extremely high relief medal was engraved by A.O. Ameis. It has a light coating of lacquer which was probably applied during production to preserve the medal and inhibit corrosion. There are two spots where minor corrosion had occurred on reverse in the denticles about the dome. The reverse also has a small patch of hairlines in the left field. Also on the reverse fields are several pits from the casting process. This medal grades MS-62.
