Mexico --Guerrero. 2 Pesos, 1915-GRO. WR-R5; Eliz-MX 199; KM-644; GB-220. 23.73 grams. Revolutionary Period. Zapata Issues. "DOBE" Dollar. Eagle atop cactus, seizing snake. Reverse: Sunface over smoking volcano. Reeded edge. Good strike for series; with only noticeable flatness towards one side. Overall clean and very lustrous. Lightly toned. NGC graded MS-62.

Guerrero is a small state in southern Mexico that was, in colonial times, not very important. Its rough topography and harsh climate were viewed as disincentives to settlement. Ironically, as the world has changed, it is now a major tourist area. Acapulco, Zihuatenejo, and Taxco are major tourist attractions. Its beachfront property is now valued at hundreds of millions of dollars (or Pesos).
Estimated Value $400 - 500.

Realized $604
