Undated (C1893, 1909) Lincoln - With Malice Toward None Medal, Zearing Medal. Eglit-85A. NGC graded MS-65. bronze, 45mm. Obverse has half length beardless bust of Lincoln facing right. Engraver's signature, H. Zearing, in left field. On reverse contained within a shield is a 13 line quote from Lincoln's 2nd inaugural address. This medal, although listed in Eglit with a similar variety by the same engraver, has also been attributed as issued in 1909 as part of Lincoln's birth centennial. Regardless, this is a very pleasing example with medium brown surfaces with traces of red.
