Counterfeiting Indictment. Lot of three Holograph Documents. Legal Quarto, recto/verso. November 3, 1845. Details an action brought by Harrison County in the State of Ohio against one Hiram Hobbs, alleging that he "unlawfully and feloniously did utter and publish as true and genuine a certain false, forged and counterfeit Bank Note." This document contains three separate hand-done sketches of the offending Bank Note. Scattered spotting and remnants of wax seals. Last page is somewhat dark. Good.
