Massenet, Jules and Henri Marteau. Jules Massenet (1842-1912) French composer best known for his operas. Autograph letter signed, "J. Massenet," one page, in French, 6½ x 4¾", Paris, April 22 (1905). With holograph, postmarked address leaf to Madame Vera Devilaine. Massent writes, "Madame, I will have the honor of expecting you today Thursday 48 rue Vaugirard at 5 o'oclock. Respectfully, J. Massenet."

Together with Henri Marteau (1874-1934) French composer and violinist. Marteau writes an autograph musical quotation from Massenet and signs, "Henri Marteau," on 2¾ x 3¾" card titled "J.Massenet" below the quotation, February 17, 1898. Estimate Value $300 - UP
