1817. Overton-111a. PCGS graded MS-62. Boldly struck and nicely toned with deep antique silver-gray on the obverse, a tad lighter on the reverse. Notice the inset center dot on Liberty's neck, used to align all the devices when the original obverse die was being engraved. A handsome example of this early Capped Bust half dollar.
