(Castro, Fidel) Photograph Album (1927-) President of Cuba. A notebook of over 75 photographs, each in an individual sleeve, c. 1959 through the early 1960s. Many photos are marked for inclusion in Cuban newspapers. Castro is seen in the jungle, triumphantly entering cities after the overthrow of Batista, talking to various people (including Ernest Hemingway), visiting the United States in 1960 (there are two photos of him in front of the Lincoln monument), speaking to the United Nations, playing baseball, and much more. Some photos are by Korda; the majority are approximately 8 x 10 in. but they vary in size. Condition is very good to fine.
