Charles VI. Slightly soiled from handling, otherwise remarkably preserved. Holy Roman Emperor who ruled from 1711-1740. Father of Maria Theresa.
Illustrated Manuscript Document Signed. Fourteen pages on vellum, in German, Vienna, August 8, 1716. Being an elaborate Patent of Nobility issued to the Benedetti family, with a striking full-page painting of the Benedetti coat of arms occupying the center leaf, in red, blue and gold. Signed, "Carl" by Charles VI on the final page. The entire text is lavishly calligraphied in a court hand, and embellished with intricate border work. Fine.
