Jesse Owens: Signed Olympic Games Stamp Ceremony Program, Washington DC. JSA Authentication. Jesse Owens (1913-1980) Exceptional autographed event program from August 17, 1972 for the inauguration of Olympic Stamps in Washington DC. Adding prestige to the program, the 4-block of stamps affixed are hand canceled, First Day Issue.

But the star here is Jesse Owens, winner of four Gold Medals in 1936. Boldly signing and inscribing "Good Luck, Jessie Owens", this is a premium autograph for any level of collector. Owens broke three records and tied with the fourth in Track & Field events (in about on hour's time!) But that a black man triumphed in Berlin, Owens is credited for single-handedly crushing Hitler's myth of Aryan supremacy and secured his place in history. MINT 9 x 6.25".
