1866 $2.50 Liberty. SEGS graded MS-63. A decent strike in orange color gold which deepens at the borders. Some trivial light handling marks appear in the fields. A very pleasing specimen of a major rarity of the era. Only 3110 business strikes were made, and few were deliberately saved for numismatic purposes as collectors who desired one typically acquired a Proof.
