Lot 108

1807 C-1 R1 Repunched 7 PCGS graded AU58. Glossy medium chocolate brown with a streak of darker olive brown toning from the ear to the top of the hair ribbon. Traces of frosty lighter brown show in protected areas. Flowline luster covers the fields and protected areas on both sides. The notable marks are four thin nicks in the field over the hair ribbon. Just a hint of friction on the highest points from mint state sharpness. LDS, Manley state 3.0 early. There are a few very faint dentils showing on the obverse and some more on the lower part of the reverse. The top of STA is weak due to excessive die wear. Struck with the dies properly aligned head-to-foot. Our grade is AU50. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 6; 5 finer, 3 in 62, 1 in 63+, 1 in 64 for the variety. Estimate Value $1,000 - UP
