Autograph letter signed "Mr. Van Buren" in the text, one page, 6¼ x 4", Lindenwald (his estate in Kinderhook, NY), June 24 (18)43. The former President writes: "Mr. Van Buren presents his best respects to Messr. Carroll & Baker and desires them to send him their Country Paper." Normal folds, else fine. Boldly penned.
