Cartes de Visite of Union Army Leaders. Six small, early lithographic cartes de visite, 2½ x 4", Washington, New York, New Orleans, mounted on cardboard, of Union Army military leaders. Three are made from original photographs, and feature General Blunket, Major-General John F. Reynolds, killed at Gettysburg, and General W.B. Franklin. The remaining three are restrikes made from steel engravings, and depict General Pope, Colonel Mulligan, and General Halleck. The Franklin and Reynolds are slightly worn, the rest Fine.
