Victoria Queen, Appointment Boldly Signed by the Queen in 1878 but Canceled the Next Day Due To An Apparent Clerical Error (1819-1901) Her 63 years long reign (1837-1901) proved the longest of any British monarch until Queen Elizabeth surpassed her great-great-grandmother 5 years ago. Appointment signed March 13, 1878 then "cancelled" the next day as evidenced in red pencil. This was an appointment for three individuals to be on The Executive Council of the Island of Saint Vincent. However it appears it was an error and instead meant for The Council of the Windward Islands based on corrections on verso. 13 x 16" folded with Victoria's signature bold and unblemished next to her seal. Discrete strip of acid free tape at bottom of fold crease to hold in check a split otherwise excellent. Estimated Value $600 - UP
