1808/7 C-2 R3 Overdate 8 over 7 VF20. Attractive glossy chocolate and olive brown. Traces of frost remain visible in protected areas, particularly on the reverse, and this piece offers excellent eye appeal. The surfaces are smooth and the only mark is a dull, light scratch in the field above the bust. The scratch is quite old and it blends perfectly into the toning. Nicely struck EDS, Manley state 1.0, before any die cracks. The overdate is obvious. A nice mid-grade example of this popular "Redbook" overdate variety. Estimate Value $900 - UP
